PRIVACY POLICY
Cyber Range Threat Hunt Platform
Last updated: March 2026
When you register, we collect your email address, chosen username, and password (hashed). If registration requires an access code, we record that the code was used.
When you participate in hunts, we record flag submissions, hint usage, scores, timestamps, and IP addresses. This data is required for scoring, leaderboard placement, and prize distribution.
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser information, and request timestamps for security and platform stability.
Account data is used to authenticate you, manage your access, and communicate hunt announcements and prize notifications.
Hunt activity data is used for scoring, leaderboard rankings, all-time score tracking, prize eligibility, and post-hunt analysis.
Server logs are used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and platform debugging.
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside the platform administration team.
Your username and scores are visible on the hunt scoreboard and all-time leaderboard. This is a competitive platform. If you do not want your scores visible, do not participate.
Your email address is never displayed publicly.
Post-hunt debriefs may reference aggregate statistics (number of solves, average scores) but will not identify individual hunters unless they are prize winners who have consented to being named.
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your account and personal data within a reasonable timeframe.
Hunt scores and leaderboard data may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form even after account deletion to preserve the integrity of historical rankings.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.
The platform runs on third-party hosted infrastructure. The hosting provider's own privacy practices apply to the operation of the service.
The Cyber Range community operates through Skool. Skool's privacy policy governs interactions on that platform.
We do not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media tracking tools.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the platform administrators through the Cyber Range community.
You may update your username and email through your account settings at any time.
Passwords are hashed. The platform runs over HTTPS. Access to administrative functions is restricted.
No system is perfectly secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
This policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the Cyber Range community.
